- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place butter in a 9x13 inch baking dish and melt in the oven until fully melted and slightly foamy.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, milk, and half of the sugar until a smooth batter forms.
- Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter in the baking dish without stirring.
- Toss blueberries with remaining sugar and scatter evenly over the batter. Do not stir.
- Bake for 38 to 45 minutes until the top is deep golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Do not stir the layers—this is key to achieving the cobbler texture. Use gluten-free self-rising flour for a gluten-free version. Let the cobbler rest at least 15 minutes before serving to allow the filling to thicken. Adjust sugar based on the sweetness of your blueberries.
