Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tsp peppermint extract
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 12 oz dark chocolate, chopped or chips

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, butter, peppermint extract, and heavy cream until a dough forms.
  • Roll dough into small balls, then flatten into patties. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes.
  • Melt dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water (or in microwave in intervals).
  • Dip each frozen peppermint patty into melted chocolate, coating fully. Return to baking sheet.
  • Chill patties until chocolate sets before serving.

Notes

Store patties in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 2 months.
