- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together granulated sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder. Stir dry ingredients into wet mixture alternately with milk.
- Pour half the batter into prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture and half of the apples over the batter.
- Repeat with remaining batter, apples, and cinnamon-sugar mixture. Lightly swirl with a knife.
- Bake 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes before transferring to wire rack.
Notes
Store cooled bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days. Can be frozen for up to 2 months.
