- Drain the mozzarella balls and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Wash and thoroughly dry the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves.
- Assemble skewers by threading a folded basil leaf, one mozzarella ball, and one cherry tomato.
- Arrange the assembled skewers neatly on a serving platter.
- Whisk together olive oil, balsamic glaze, and garlic if using. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Drizzle the dressing generously over the skewers just before serving.
- Finish with flaky sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 hours, allowing skewers to come to room temperature before serving.
Notes
Use room-temperature ingredients for best flavor. Assemble up to 4 hours ahead, but drizzle with oil and balsamic just before serving. These are best enjoyed slightly cool or at room temperature.
