Ingredients

  • 6 croissants, cut into chunks
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Arrange croissant chunks evenly in the baking dish and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, and salt until well combined.
  • Pour custard evenly over croissants and chocolate. Gently press croissants down to absorb liquid.
  • Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, until golden and set. Serve warm.

Notes

Best served warm. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat before serving.
