Ingredients

  • 20 fresh strawberries, washed and thoroughly dried
  • 200 g semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil or coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup holiday sprinkles or crushed candy canes for decoration
  • white chocolate (optional, for drizzling)

Equipment

  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • microwave-safe bowl
  • spoon
  • refrigerator

Method

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Make sure strawberries are completely dry before starting.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate with oil in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth and glossy.
  3. Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into the melted chocolate, turning to coat evenly. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  4. Place dipped strawberries on the prepared baking sheet. Immediately sprinkle with holiday sprinkles or toppings before the chocolate sets.
  5. Optional: drizzle with melted white chocolate for a decorative finish.
  6. Refrigerate for 15–20 minutes until chocolate is firm. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate for best results — dark, milk, or white chocolate all work well. Make sure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to help the chocolate stick. Store in a cool place or refrigerate briefly before serving.
