Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • small bowl
  • whisk
  • tongs or spatula
  • paper towels

Method

  1. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, and lemon juice to make the glaze.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place salmon fillets skin-side down and sear for 4–5 minutes until skin is crispy.
  4. Flip salmon and cook another 2–3 minutes. Pour glaze into skillet and cook 1–2 minutes, spooning sauce over salmon until fully coated.
  5. Serve salmon hot, drizzled with extra glaze from the skillet.

Notes

Serve immediately for the crispiest skin. Pairs well with rice or steamed vegetables.
