Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • small bowl
  • whisk
  • tongs or spatula
  • paper towels

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt and black pepper.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, and lemon juice to make the glaze.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place salmon fillets skin-side down and sear for 4–5 minutes until skin is crispy.
  • Flip salmon and cook another 2–3 minutes. Pour glaze into skillet and cook 1–2 minutes, spooning sauce over salmon until fully coated.
  • Serve salmon hot, drizzled with extra glaze from the skillet.

Notes

Serve immediately for the crispiest skin. Pairs well with rice or steamed vegetables.
