Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp paprika (for garnish)
  • 2 drops green food coloring (or natural green puree)
  • 2 tbsp red bell pepper, finely diced (for garnish)

Equipment

  • saucepan
  • mixing bowl
  • piping bag or plastic bag
  • knife
  • cutting board
  • measuring spoons

Method

  1. Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Cool in ice water and peel.
  2. Cut eggs in half lengthwise and remove yolks. Place yolks in a bowl and mash until smooth.
  3. Mix yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until creamy. Add green coloring and mix well.
  4. Pipe filling into egg whites in a tall swirl shape to resemble Christmas trees.
  5. Sprinkle with paprika and garnish with diced red bell pepper pieces as ornaments.
  6. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

Use natural green coloring from spinach puree or matcha for a healthier option. Garnish with diced peppers or herbs to resemble ornaments. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
