Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, chicken broth, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4–6 hours, or until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  5. Shred the chicken with two forks directly in the crockpot and stir it into the sauce.
  6. Serve hot on buns, tacos, or over rice.

Notes

Use your favorite barbecue sauce for best results — smoky, sweet, or spicy. Shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker for maximum flavor. Leftovers keep well in the fridge and taste even better the next day. Great for meal prep or potlucks!
