- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1-2 minutes to bloom the spices.
- Add tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 15–20 minutes.
- To serve, place Fritos in bowls or on plates. Spoon chili over chips and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
Notes
Serve with sour cream, jalapeños, or diced onions for added flavor. You can also use individual chip bags for a fun 'walking taco' twist.
