- Place eggs in a saucepan, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Cook 10 minutes, then cool in ice water. Peel and slice in half lengthwise.
- Remove yolks and mash them in a bowl with mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Stir in food coloring to achieve an eerie hue for Halloween.
- Spoon or pipe the filling back into egg whites. Garnish with paprika and optional olive 'spiders'.
Notes
These can be prepared a few hours ahead and refrigerated until serving. For extra creepiness, use black olives for 'spider' toppings or food coloring gels for veins.
