Ingredients
  

  • 12 fresh asparagus spears, trimmed
  • 6 slices prosciutto, halved lengthwise
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze (optional for serving)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Trim the woody ends from asparagus spears and pat dry.
  3. Drizzle asparagus with olive oil and sprinkle with black pepper and garlic powder. Toss to coat evenly.
  4. Wrap each asparagus spear with a half slice of prosciutto, slightly overlapping as you roll.
  5. Arrange wrapped spears on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until asparagus is tender and prosciutto is crisp.
  7. Sprinkle with Parmesan and drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving if desired.

Notes

Best served warm or at room temperature. You can drizzle with balsamic glaze or sprinkle Parmesan before serving for extra flavor. Works beautifully as a holiday appetizer or side dish.
