  • 2 tbsp prepared horseradish
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp hot sauce (optional, to taste)

  • slotted spoon
  • shot glasses
  • spoon
  • knife

Method

  1. If shrimp are uncooked, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes until pink and opaque. Drain and chill in ice water.
  2. In a small bowl, combine ketchup, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and hot sauce. Mix well and adjust seasoning to taste.
  3. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of cocktail sauce into each shot glass.
  4. Hang one chilled shrimp on the rim of each glass, tail side out.
  5. Garnish with lemon wedges and parsley. Serve cold.

Notes

Use large cooked shrimp for best presentation. You can prepare the sauce ahead and chill until ready to serve. For extra heat, add more horseradish or a dash of hot sauce. Serve cold and garnish with lemon wedges and herbs.
