Simple Churro Cheesecake

Ingredients
  

  • 2 packages (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Unroll one package of crescent dough and press it into the bottom of the dish to form an even layer.
  3. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread mixture over the dough layer.
  4. Unroll the second crescent dough and carefully place it over the filling.
  5. Pour melted butter evenly over the top. Mix remaining 1/2 cup sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle over butter.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Best served chilled or at room temperature. You can also freeze slices individually for up to 2 months.
