Method
- Toss beef with flour, salt, and pepper.
- Brown beef in oil, then transfer to slow cooker.
- Add vegetables to slow cooker.
- Whisk broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire, garlic, thyme, and bay leaves; pour over.
- Cook on Low 7–8 hours or High 4–5 hours.
- Thicken with cornstarch slurry if desired.
